The recent signings of Marty Booker and Brandon Lloyd are just further proof that the Chicago Bears of the NFL are doing their best to just be good enough to not be last place in the NFC North. Signing Marty Booker and Brandon Lloyd to fill the wide receiver positions is hardly breathtaking. I thought Marty Booker retired after he flopped with the Miami Dolphins. It’s also surprising to see that the team hasn’t made any moves to fix the horrible offensive line. My only guess is that they are just going to hike the ball to Devin Hester and the other 10 guys are going to block. The only other way they might have a chance is if they punt on first down and let the defense hold them until Devin Hester can return a punt. At least the Bears spent a few million on Lance Briggs and his 36 Million dollar contract. I wonder how many Lamborghini’s you can crash with that kind of money.

This years Super Bowl is most likely going to be another blow out like it was last year. Bill Belichick is the mad scientist of football and giving him two weeks to prepare for a team is crazy. Giving Tom Coughlin two weeks to over coach and berate his players is crazy too. I’m sure the game will be close for the first quarter until Belichick makes some adjustment and then the game will be out of reach. I don’t know who runs the pre-game and halftime shows but the person has to be over 60 years old. All of the acts are very tame and very boring but what’s new? I guess Tom Petty will have two quarters of football to take a nap before he has to perform. The commercials used to be kind of a reason to watch the game but you don’t even need to watch the game for that anymore. There are about 100 blogs and other sites that are showing the ads already and I’m sure Youtube and another 1000 blogs will have every single commercial rated and ranked right after the game.

There is one reason to watch the end of the game and that’s to make sure I don’t miss the start of an episode of “House” but I’m sure my DVR should handle that. There is the whole thing about watching to see if the Patriots go undefeated but if that happens, the game will be on ESPN Classic everyday for a month.
